Ancestry, from whence we came. Our own personal history leading to this very moment. The building of culture, customs, knowledge and innovation. I’ve enjoyed watching season after season of Ancient Aliens and pondering on the origin of our species. Marveling at the unexplained wonders of the ancients. Wondering how we could have lost such innovation so long ago.
Looking at my own family’s history I appreciate the hardships they endured. My own grandparents grew up without running water or electricity. They lived with a simplicity I often long for. While we have gained so much in our advancement it also seems we have lost something more. Can you imagine living without running water? Having to carry your water gives it so much value. Not having a store stocked with all of the essentials makes you truly consider material possessions.
There seems to be a loss of value in modern times. Landfills overfilling with cast off items. Increased speed and efficiency at the cost of humanity. Things happening so quickly we do not see, news occurring so quickly we cannot hear. Trends captivating young minds and social media distracting those same minds from the changes mounting around them. As our technology increases we move away from the ancient knowledge of healing and honoring the earth and ourselves. As the saying goes
‘Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it.’
Our ancestors are with us energetically and inside our genome. We carry with us the knowledge they had and the hardships they endured. We have the ability to tap into this knowledge and energy to aid in our own evolution.
We must commit to overcoming oppression and separation and remember that we are all from the same infinite source. By learning from those of the past we can teach those of the future the true meaning of value and connection. The true respect and honor those before us deserve. By doing so, we make a better future for those who inherit this earth.
